SOUSSE : Day 1] - Group B :Urunani succumbs to Kano Pillars 38-72

The dismal display of Burundi side Urunani basketball club in the final round of the 28th Africa Champions Cup for Men holding in Sousse, Tunisia continue on Sunday as it lost its third straight game to Kano Pillars basketball club of Nigeria in a reschedule Day-1 pairing.
The Burundian lost all four quarters to their Nigerian opponent by 13-21, 06-17, 07-20 and 12-14 points as it will hope for a first win when it file out against Malabo Kings of Equatorial Guinea at 12H00 on Monday.
Kano Pillars was led in scoring by forward Dele Ademola with 17 points and 5 rebounds, championship single game record holder with 42 points Abubakar Usman had 15 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assist, Louis Edem added 11 points and 5 rebounds while Abdulwahab Yahaya had excellent game with a double double of 10 points and 13 rebounds as the Nigerian side move up to the third spot in group-B.
Pillars will have its hands full when it confront Clube Recreativo Du Libolo basketball club of Angola at 20H00 in a high group-B pairing on Monday. Other Day-4 pairing, LPRC Oilers basketball club of Liberia and Tali basketball club of Gabon will take to the floor in group-A at 10H00; Sporting Club of Alexandra, Egypt will be up against Club Spotif Constantinois of Algeria in a top-of-bill group-A game at 14H00; defending champion Primeiro D’Agosto will test the might of unbeaten Al-Ahli basketball club of Benghazi, Libya at 16H00 in group-B with host Etoile Sportive De Sahel of Tunisia against Ferroviaro Beira of Monzabique at 18H00.
